Antennal pits of Brachyopa
Poster: stuart
Pic Title: Antennal pits of Brachyopa
Pic Description: The shape and position of pits on the INSIDE face of the 3rd antennal segment are used in the key to Brachyopa (Stubbs & Falk, 2002, page 130). This is the most frequent species, B. scutellaris, in which the pit is quite large and extends close to the lower margin of the antennal segment.
