That is a great day John - your field shot actually captures the antennal pit too.

I am just wondering about the Dasysyrphus - if you have other angles it would be useful to check that the markings ...

A pretty impressive selection. Great to see Epistrophe eligans is now out in the NE. It has just started emerging in Lancashire too.

I hope you retained the first female Cheilosia - I think it may be C. nebulosa. Not sure about the Eupeodes male - again I hope you have the specimen?
