When examining the contents of my Heath Trap(actinic 6W) on the morning of 1st November at a woodland site in VC84 West Lothian I was surprised to find a hoverfly, which I later examined and have tentatively identified as a male E.luniger. I wonder if it is a migrant?

Hi Greg

I suspect that this is just a late emergence from the resident population.

Regards

Roger

Perhaps it was an immigrant English luniger exercising its influence in eastern Scotland. (This was, after all, a West Lothian question.)
Sorry!
John
