On Saturday 08/09/2012 at about 4.00pm I spotted a female Eriozona syrphoides in my garden.
Grid reference : SC44009637
Site name : Shearwater, The Dhoor, Andreas Road, Lezayre, Isle of Man
Vice-County : 71 (Isle of Man)
Recorder & Determiner : Steve Crellin
The fly was sunbathing on foliage and taking an interest in the white flowers of a Japanese Anemone. I observed it for about a minute before I was summoned to another part of the garden.
I hope the record is of interest.
