The Hoverfly Recording Scheme has purchased a copy of MapMate so that those that wish to contribute data from this biological recording package can take advantage of its record transfer capabilities. Therefore records can be submitted to the Recording Scheme simply by "synchronising" with our CUK which is "5pv".- In MapMate, click "Replication" in the toolbar.
- In the Replicator window, choose "Sync - Change Default Partner ..." from the menu.
- Enter the HRS CUK, "5pv" in the lower box entitled "or .. Enter the CUK for your chosen partner (e.g. 1z1)". Click [OK]
- Choose "Special - Set Filters" and then select the entry "Insecta: Diptera: Syrphidae" in the bottom drop-down list entitled "Taxa". Reply [OK] to the various messages.
- Press the [Synchronise] button.
- On subsequent occasions, it should only be necessary to select the CUK from the drop-down list in the upper box in "Choose partner to exchange data with" dialog and then to [Synchronise].

The Hoverfly Recording Scheme subscription to MapMate had expired! I have renewed it, so we are back in business.

Hi
Does the scheme still use Mapmate for submitting records? I notice that it did in 2005...but is it still operating?
I use it for moth recording and sending to county recorders and so have been putting records on for hovers, too.
If not, then I shall start recording in a different way!
Thanks
