Getting out of the car at the dandelion field it was plain to see the dandelions were stuffed with hovers.
Foresaking Eupeodes etc that would be on the flowers along with Eristalis etc I plumped for the vegetation at the side of the field.
Less species possibly but some good ones.

All you need for a good days hoverating
Episyrphus balteatus - male
Eristalis arbustorum - male and female
Eristalis pertinax - male and female
Eristalis tenax - male and female
Helophilus pendulus - male and female
Leucozona glaucia - female
Myathropa florea - female
Neoascia podagrica - female Specimen retained
Platycheirus albimanus - male and female
Platycheirus manicatus - female Specimen retained
Sphaerophoria sp. - female
Syritta pipiens - male, female and mating pair
