Possibly the last decent day for a while as the weather changes.
Also seen - S. torvus and N.meticulosa

That is a great day John - your field shot actually captures the antennal pit too.

I am just wondering about the Dasysyrphus - if you have other angles it would be useful to check that the markings meet the margins of the tergites - worth keeping an eye out for pinastri
